Read moreThe Board of Trustees is responsible for ensuring quality education, student safety, and staff wellbeing at Kōraunui School. The board sets the school's strategic direction in consultation with parents, staff and pupils, and manages personnel, curriculum, property, finance, and administration matters.
The Board consists of:

Chris has a four-year board tenure and a background in geospatial technology and infrastructure. He is enthusiastic about Structured Literacy and DMIC programs.
A community-focused family man with three children, Jack co-founded a local community garden in 2023 and is involved with food banks and community support initiatives.
Michelle relocated to the Wellington area in 2007 and is a parent to two students in the Te Puāwaitanga o te Kākano program. She has previous early childhood centre board experience.
Mother of three Koraunui students, Grace has six years of previous governance experience on the Open Polytechnic Academic Board, with a background in community work, education support, and sociology.
Parent with two completed and one current student, Amber has a background in Environmental Health (enforcement, auditing, inspection, education) and currently works in quality assurance.
Dave joined Kōraunui in Term 1, 2018, bringing multiple years of school leadership experience. He values diversity, inclusiveness, and relationship-based school building.

Craig is a teacher in the senior end of Whetu o le Moana and has several years of tenure at Kōraunui School.
School policies address Ministry of Education National Administration Guidelines covering curriculum, self-review, personnel, finance, property, health and safety, and legislation compliance. The school develops procedures to implement policies on a daily basis.

Annual reports are available for 2018–2024, along with annual plans for 2016 and 2017.
Strategic plans are available for 2024 and 2025.
Meetings are open to the public as observers (without speaking rights). They are generally held on the first Wednesday of each month, 7–9pm in the school staffroom.
Agendas and minutes become publicly available two working days before meetings through the school office and this website.
